Hello all !!
I hope you are having a wonderful and peaceful Saturday. Sorry for leaving you last week without any letters !! I hope these tips will compensate 😛
I know many of you struggle with time management, and I would be chosen to be the first on the list. However, I can still advice you from my experience with a couple of things to be done in order to get to the point of managing your time. Whether managing your time to learn a new language or to study or to do whatever you want.
- Leave anything that distracts you right from the moment your brain starts these thoughts: “oh this is so distracting,, and I’m bored,, I’m not doing anything,, I hate this”. Just literally leave it! whether it’s your phone,, your tv, or anything else that is not being useful at that moment. Move away from it and start doing something else.
- I know this tip might not work for everyone, cause some like writing things and planning things before hand, others don’t and they like to just have the day pass as it is. for team who likes writing things down, then that’s a win, cause once you cross the thing you are done with, you will feel great, and you will relieve your brain from the stress of thinking and remembering what will happen next !! cause you know, it’s all already written there.
- For the team who doesn’t like writing things down or planning things on notion or google calendar or bullet journals, well, you can still pass the day as it is without planning, but make sure that you remind yourself with point #1 ((whenever I feel like I’m doing something un-useful, I need to ditch it! )). You could follow the strategy of having a countdown clock in-front of you on a big screen, and check how much time you spend doing something useful and then compare it to doing something un-useful, with just faffing around!
- When it comes to learning English, allocate 30 minutes of your time for 4-5 days to learning something related to it! and build this habit by applying everything I mentioned in the previous points
At the end, if things didn’t work the way you want them to work, don’t stress about them, as long as you started with the intention of wanting to manage your time, you will get there.
