Dear readers,
I hope you have had a wonderful week.
I have been away for quite sometime because I’m working on a big project that I won’t be revealing anything about now.
I’m so excited but also so worried that it might not turn the way I want it to turn to be.
But in the meantime, let me not make this email long, and hit the point and mention what I think about the topic of being like “a native speaker” ! To be honest, I don’t know who started the idea of us having to be like natives or needing to talk like native speakers of English. I just believe that it is a pressure that puts English learners into a big fight with themselves, and telling themselves they have to speak like natives. I honestly don’t agree with this. I think learners should be able to deliver their ideas in a good manner and in a way that makes them speak accurately and fluently, without needing to fight to be “native – like”.
I know I might be contradicting myself, especially that a lot of you think that I speak like natives, but I still believe that learners should learn to speak accurately and fluently and then maybe they could add the native like aspect as a cherry on the top of the cake.
If you are one of those learners, maybe this video of mine can come as a help to you.
Those are my thoughts, tell me : Do you agree with me? or disagree?
Have a wonderful night
